From the hearts and minds of a Michigan toolmaker and Alaskan guide came the basic criteria for the ideal steelhead and salmon reel. For fifteen years the SOLITUDE reel product line was developed and nurtured by a small company by the name of Harris Reels. In 2005, under new ownership and guidance, SOLITUDE REELS has undergone a transformation. SOLITUDE REELS, a division of EDCO, Inc., has invested the last year in taking the SOLITUDE reel to a new level of reliability while maintaining its affordability. We are grateful to those original owners who know intimately the quality of the original line and are sincerely helping to usher in the new era of SOLITUDE.
